Folksy Friday #7

Ooh arr ya?? ger orf me lan'

It's the Balmoral Show this week in Belfast, a 3 day celebration of all things agricultural and rural, when the farmers make their annual pilgrimage to the "big smoke!".....Im going on Friday :)   (im posting this early as we are then off to Donegal for the weekend!)

The highlights for me include the dog agility, sheep shearing, the food & craft villages, motocross displays, the show jumping, rare breeds!!! (i love the strange sheep with dreadlocks), the vegetable competitions, the biggest cows ive ever seen, the decorative egg display, the WI's tea room and craft exhibit, baby animals and mini farm....and the wee drunken farmers lying in the field listening to Hugo Duncan!  :/

so a funky farm inspired theme this week.....way too much to choose from on Folksy, enjoy, let me know your faves (pinks the link)

aw thanks for putting my sheep on! these are fab picks, I'm a farmer's daughter me so I am very used to spending my weekends at agricultural shows! I like watching grown men put hairspray on their cows!

I think I likethe cats best!

Woah .... decorative egg display, you say? May have to change my plans for this weekend.

Cool collection - lovely chickens, amazing bowl, and Geoffrey Chicken is a helpful chap. Love those gossiping ducks too : )

Thank you so much for including Geoffrey in this great list of finds. That meadow bowl is fantastic.

Enjoy the show, it sounds like it will be a great day. I'm hoping to make it to the South of England show this year as we now live a few minutes away from the showground!

Hi Kellie, I just wanted to say, thank you so much for the lovely card you sent me! It is gorgeous, so romantic and olde style! And that was so sweet to send me the gift too, you didn't have to but it was a lovely thought! Keep your eyes open for the Swap round up, I hope to get myself organised enough to post about it this week and there are so many pretty cards people have sent!
Thanks again, Naomi x
